Dear Comrades, welcome to Redefining Moments 4! We are delighted to have you here, whether you are new or returning. This camp is more than a place; it’s a community where you will learn, grow, and have fun. You will enjoy various activities, challenges, and opportunities. Make the most of them and make new friends along the way.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team of facilitators that will instruct, inspire, guide, and make this experience memorable for each of you. Please listen to them.

Unfortunately, I cannot be with you in person due to unforeseen circumstances. I apologize for this and I assure you that I will be with you online throughout the program. Our team is ready to make your experience extraordinary.

Please contact the facilitators if you need anything or want to share your thoughts. Your happiness and well-being are our priorities.

Get ready for four amazing days of laughter, learning, and memories. Welcome to the camp, where every moment is a chance to connect the dots of a fantastic experience!

In-House Camp Rules

We have set these house rules as a guideline to make sure that every participant helps to create a welcome and inclusive atmosphere during our event, which will improve everyone’s overall experience in a positive and courteous manner.

 

  • Show consideration and decency to all individuals.
  • Steer clear of insulting words or actions.
  • Be on time for scheduled events and activities.
  • Let the facilitators and volunteers  know if you won’t be there.
  • Take an active part in conversations and events.
  • Make constructive contributions to the sense of community to maximize your program experience.
  • During presentations, turn off or silence electronic gadgets.
  • Use electronics quietly to avoid bothering others.
  • Honor the privacy of conversations and information exchanged.
  • Get consent before disclosing private information.

  • Wear clothes that are acceptable for the occasion or meeting.

  • Adhere to any appropriate dress code.

  • Maintain the venue (your room inclusive) and its environs neat and orderly.

  • Use the specified bins to dispose of trash.

  • Adhere to safety regulations and requirements.

  • Let the organizer know about any safety concerns.

  • Make responsible use of event resources(Downloads available)

  • Show consideration for other participants and the venue’s property.

  • Respect all applicable local laws and policies regarding events.

  • Inform organizers of any unlawful or improper activity.

  • Every other area can be accessed during recess or if you are wanting to take pictures except the swimming pool.
  • Every participant will be group into platoons to foster networking and varying activities in the program.

  • Kindly note when it is your platoon turn, you are to adhere to every rule.

  • No platoon exchange

  • You must have been allocated rooms by now. Participants are strictly prohibited from swapping rooms.
  • Failure to adhere to this rule could result in being sent away from the camp.

Social Justice Advocate/Social Worker

Esther, a social work leader and nonprofit executive, is passionate about youth empowerment, social justice, and international cooperation. Recognized with the ACGC Top 30 Under 30 International award, she is dedicated to meaningful initiatives.

Michelle Kim

 Global Sustainability Advocate

Michelle Kim, a Harvard Master’s student and University of Alberta Students’ Union Manager, has seven years of global sustainability experience and collaborates with organizations like UN Association Canada and Harvard Office of Sustainability to promote environmental education for positive change.

Paul Adeagbo, a Career Coach and Campus Tour Convener, specializes in turning job seekers into success stories. He focuses on developing Nigerian graduates into global talents and guarantees dream jobs within four months.

MJ, a youth and climate justice advocate, works at WWF Canada and is a board member for OEN and Green Career Centre. Despite her passion for the environmental sector in Colombia, where corruption is prevalent, she moved to Canada for a safer work environment. Despite facing discrimination in the industry, she believes everyone has a role in creating a just and sustainable world.

Olabanjo Ayenakin

Legal Luminary / Community Leader

Olabanjo Ayenakin is a highly acclaimed legal practitioner with over 50 awards, including Most Thorough Advocate and Legal Practitioner of the Year. He has a diverse legal background, including chieftain, land, labour, and banking. Ayenakin is married to Olufunke Ayenakin and serves as the Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association Akure.

Mirjam Knapik

Registered Psychologist/Counsellor 

Mirjam Knapik is a Registered Psychologist, counsellor, and associate professor at Mount Royal University. She holds a BA from the University of Victoria and a Ph.D. from the University of Calgary. Knapik’s early life experiences influenced her to focus on resilience, perseverance, and healing. She also enjoys music, gardening, and hiking.

Business Expert

Project Manager

Meeting Joshua, popularly known as MJ, a medical personnel, business advisor, and certified Project Manager, is the Founder and Chief Steward of RAELGLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES LTD, a tech holding company focused on blockchain, real estates, and energy. Their subsidiary, RAEL FARMS, offers Crypto Mining products and services, promoting crypto adoption and contributing to eco-friendly technologies.
